Genesis 1:21 states “And God created great whales and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind.” Biology is the study of living things.Darwin’s theory of evolution and abiogenists is not logical. Punctuated equilibrium has several major problems that they are not able to explain. God clearly states in the Bible that he created the earth and all life on it in six days. Conservative Christians view life as designed by God for His glory. Without God, who creates with design, there would be no living creatures.

The Evolutionary theory of Darwinism can not resonantly explain how life began. For Darwinism to even be possible, life had to exist. This theory is called biogenesis. Biogenesis is that living organisms long ago spontaneously appeared through a chemical reaction. Surprisingly, another theory, spontaneous generation, which states that living matter spontaneously formed from non-living matter, was proven to be impossible decades ago by Louis Pasteur. According to Darwinists, there are two types of evolution: micro-evolution and macro-evolution. The theory of micro-evolution is that over time natural selection can take an organism into a more specialized species of that organism. An example is found in the Galapagos Finches where small changes in the finches’ beaks appeared to benefit those birds and help them feed. The hypothesis of macro-evolution states that over eons of time an organism can transform into a completely different organism. This hypothesis has almost no evidence supporting it. The Galapagos Finches, which are the basis of micro-evolution do not actually support macro-evolution as the actual species did not change. Towards the end of his life Darwin acknowledged that there is no evidence supporting this claim as no organism has been found that can be confirmed that it was evolving at the time it was fossilized. Darwinism can not explain the beginning of life.

Punctuated equilibrium does not any better explain the beginning of life. Punctuated equilibrium is the theory of evolution that evolutionary changes occur over a relatively quick period of time, followed by periods of little to no evolutionary change. This theory was purposed by Marxist-Leninist because of the deficient fossil record for a slow evolutionary process, which is lacking fossils of transitional stages. This view is also accepted by secular humanists. Although it evades the lack of evidence for evolution in the fossil record, this view clashes withDarwin’s own ideas. It claims that no fossils are found while in the middle of evolving, because it happens quickly with massive gaps of time in between. Surprisingly, it still relies on natural selection, but nothing is said about how.  Ideas without evidence slanders science.  Changing the theory still does not fix the problem of lack of supporting evidence for macro-evolution. Although punctuated equilibrium fixes one problem, it creates more.

Cosmic evolution does not fit into biblical Christianity. This belief was taken from cosmic humanists’ belief in cosmic evolution, which is the progression of collective humanity toward an age of higher consciousness. Together people evolve into a god. Yet, biblically people, are not in any way gods, and will never evolve into gods. The one true God clearly states in the Bible, that He is the only God. Since there is only one God, He must control everything. Is becoming a god possible? The no one was able to control the weather in 2011 BC and in 2011 AD no one can control the weather. It is called an act of God. If humans evolved into a god, would not at least some progress have occurred to be able to control some of the weather? Understandably, if there was a god would not that god have to be perfect. Everyone has sinned, whether a liar or a murderer a person is still a sinner, a murderer two thousand years ago is just as much a murderer, and a sinner as a murderer in the present. Since there can be only one God, humans can not evolve into divine beings, so cosmic evolution is not compatible with Christianity.

The Christian view of biology is that in the beginning God created the earth with design and a purpose. According to the Bible, the earth was created in six days with a seventh day for rest and the worship of God. When God created a fish, He created the complete fish, as a whole with fins, DNA and gills. Likewise, a mouse trap is simple, but if any part is removed, it will not work. Complexly composed, a flagellum will not work in a cell, if any part is removed. This is called irreducible complexity. This supports the concept of creation for complex things, like fish or flagellum; these could not evolve through a collection of separate parts. Seen through a Christian scientist’s mind, there is a logical explanation for the fossil grave yards, which are countless fossils of many species mixed together in odd places throughout the world. It is in the Bible. Since, large numbers of fossils are found in places that animals do not live, such as clam shells on mountains, it is a puzzle why or how they fossilized there. Until a scientist considers a flood, which covered the entire earth, as recorded in the Bible. The Christian view of science is compatible with biblical events, supported by strong evidence. Strongly backed, the biblical explanation of the beginning and of biology is the most logical.

The study of the beginning of life, which is called biology, is greatly debated, and has been debated for years. Although believed by many,Darwin’s theory for biology does not have solid evidence. Punctuated equilibrium does not explain the beginning of life. Cosmic evolution and evolution in general does not fit into Christianity. Christianity is strongly supported if the world is seen though a creationist’s eyes. Consequently, biology is important for understanding life’s beginning and all living things, because of a desire for more knowledge.
